Get started

Build your first game

Start with a small playable version of your game. You can edit it yourself or connect a coding agent to help implement it.

From idea to playtest

  1. Create a game and decide how you will edit it. Connect an agent if you want one to work with the files. Done when the project opens in Studio.
  2. Build the core turn and preview it with the intended player count. Use the framework reference for code contracts. Done when the preview can complete a turn.
  3. Add artwork, rules, and a game page so another person can understand the game. Done when you can explain setup and play from those pages.
  4. Commit a version and invite playtesters. Done when someone else can join a match of that version.

Studio guides describe the interface. Framework docs describe the files and APIs your game implements.
