Watch a match

Watching lets you follow a game without taking a player's seat. The host must allow spectators, and you may be asked to sign in.

The host match menu includes spectator access and the action to end the match. Other roles see different actions.

Watch the game

  1. Open the match link and look for the watch option. Done when the match offers spectator entry.
  2. Choose to watch. Done when the board identifies your view as a spectator's view.
  3. Use the available viewing controls. Leave the spectator view when you are finished. Done when you are back outside the match.

What you can see

Spectators cannot submit player moves. Private hands and other hidden information remain hidden according to the game. Watching does not grant the right to inspect every player's view.

If watching is unavailable, ask the host whether spectators are enabled. A private game may also require an invitation.
