Work with game files
Use the game's working files for edits. Committed files describe an existing playable snapshot.
1. Inspect the workspace
Read the game metadata and call list_files. Open the files needed for the change with read_file. Read the source-file reference for the game's framework.
Done when you know the authoring version and the current contents of every file you will change.
2. Make the edit
Use write_file for complete file content and patch_file for a targeted replacement. Use the dedicated asset tools for images, sounds, and fonts. Change authored sources rather than generated declarations or built bundles.
Done when reading the edited files returns the intended content.
3. Verify and commit
Call validate_code. Exercise the changed behavior in a sandbox session and inspect each affected viewer. Restart the session after source changes. Call commit when validation and play checks pass.
Done when the tool returns a successful commit for the checked source.
