Shared framework reference

Design a game theme

Use one theme across the board, rules, and game page. The structured theme lives at /theme.json; a visual reference can live at /src/theme.html.

1. Choose the visual language

Read the game's mood and voice. Choose fonts, a palette, and a background that fit the game and keep controls readable.

Done when the design has a clear hierarchy for headings, body text, actions, and quiet surfaces.

2. Write the theme

Use Game theme format. Define semantic tokens for roles such as text and surfaces. Use literal palette colors as their leaves. Supply light and dark values.

Done when saving the theme passes structure, reference, and value validation.

3. Inspect every surface

Preview the board, rules, and game page at wide and phone sizes. Inspect each color mode. Check that the client uses the intended theme values.

Done when text, actions, and selected states remain readable across the game's surfaces.

4. Commit

Validate the game and commit the checked theme with the related source changes.

Done when the committed version uses the checked appearance.
